STEP 6
Does air reservoir 1 check valve allow 125 ± 5 psi (861 ± 34 kPa) to pass through hose 2228?
1.
Start engine. Refer to vehicle Operator's manual (WP
0190).
2.
Perform ICE Test 50.
3.
Have assistant push in trailer charge valve in vehicle. Refer to vehicle Operator's manual (WP
0190).

Observe meter reading.
5.
Meter should display pressure raising to 125 ± 5 psi (861 ± 34 kPa).
CONDITION/INDICATION
Does air reservoir 1 check valve allow 125 ± 5 psi (861 ± 34 kPa) to pass through hose 2228?
DECISION
Yes - Go to (Step 7 - Does test equipment pass offset test?).
No - Replace check valve (WP
0068). Go to (Step 13 - Does drawbar raise and remain raised?) to verify problem
is solved.
STEP 7
Does test equipment pass offset test?
WARNING
Air systems are under pressure. Be sure to wear the proper eye protection to avoid injury or
death. If air hoses are disconnected while under 90 to 125 psi (621-862 kPa) of pressure,
they can whip around. Air system should be drained before air hoses are disconnected.
Failure to comply may result in injury or death to personnel.
1.
Pull out trailer charge valve in vehicle. Refer to vehicle Operator's manual (WP
0190).
2.
Turn OFF ENGINE switch. Refer to vehicle Operator's manual (WP
0190).
3.
Drain air reservoir 1. Refer to TM 9-2330-342-10 (WP
0190).
4.
Disconnect TK pressure transducer (blue stripe) from hose 2228.
5.
Connect hose 2228 to air bag control valve.
6.
Lower air control bag lever to down position. Refer to TM 9-2330-342-10 (WP
0190).
7.
Disconnect air hose 2226 from air bag inversion valve.
