Check drawbar mounting bolts (Figure 2, Item 4), tow

ring mounting plate bolts (Figure 2, Item 1), tow ring

(Figure 2, Item 3), and tow ring bracket (Figure 2, Item

2) for looseness, cracked welds, or damage. Check tow

ring (Figure 2, Item 3) for wear by measuring in worn

area. If diameter is less than 1.25 in. (31.8 mm) or the

circumference is less than 4.63 in. (117.6 mm), replace

tow ring prior to next mission. If any tow ring bracket

bolts/nuts are loose or missing, replace bolt/nut and

tighten (WP

0102). If looseness is found in tow ring,

tighten (WP

0102). If bending or cracked weld is found

in tow ring, replace (WP

0102). If bending or gouging of

lower lip of tow ring bracket is found replace

(WP

0102). If damage or looseness is found in drawbar

mounting bolts, notify supervisor.

Tow ring diameter is less

than 1.25 in. (31.8 mm) or

circumference is less than

4.63 in. (117.6 mm).
