REMOVAL - Continued
WARNING
While changing tires or while performing tire maintenance, stay out of the trajectory as shown
by the area indicated. Failure to comply may result in injury or death to personnel.
NOTE
Trajectory area as shown applies to all wheel/tire assemblies.
1.
Take tire pressure reading on tire/wheel to be changed and compare to Table 1. If tire is underinflated or
overinflated, or there is obvious damage or suspected damage to wheel or tire, completely deflate tire before
removing from trailer. Refer to TM 9-2330-342-10 (WP
0190).

Loosen ten lugnuts (Figure 1, Item 1), but do not remove.
3.
Position hydraulic jack under axle (Figure 1, Item 5).
4.
Using jack, raise axle (Figure 1, Item 5) approximately 2.0 in. (50.8 mm) until tire (Figure 1, Item 2) just clears
ground; position jackstand under axle (Figure 1, Item 5).
5.
Lower jack until axle (Figure 1, Item 5) rests on jackstand.
6.
Remove ten lugnuts (Figure 1, Item 1) from studs (Figure 1, Item 3).
