16.Install clutch plate (Figure 17, Item 39) onto clutch stack. Make sure six pins (Figure 17, Item 46) are engaged.
17.Press down on clutch plate (Figure 17, Item 39) with one hand, against spring force, near one pin (Figure 17,
Item 46). Install retaining ring (Figure 17, Item 40). Use the same method to install f ve more retaining rings
(Figure 17, Item 40). Remove thickness gage (shim) installed previously to keep pin (Figure 17, Item 46)
in an up position.
