If removed, install pipe plug (12) in side of oil cooler housing (7) and draincock

cooler housing.

Place gasket (8) on oil cooler housing (7).

CAUTION

Install oil coolers in correct position to prevent any foreign particles and sludge from

entering engine or transmission. Inlet opening is marked “FROM" on cover and “IN” on

oil cooler. Outlet opening is marked "TO"

on cover and “OUT” on oil cooler.

Place four gaskets (11) around inlet and

outlet openings of oil cooler (9) and oil

cooler (10).

Place cover (6) over inlet and outlet

connectors of oil coolers.

Install four key washers (1) and

not tighten nuts.

Place assembly of cover (6), oil

Do not install

four nuts (2) on inlet and outlet connectors of oil coolers. Do

cooler (9), and oil cooler (10) in oil cooler housing (7).

NOT E

bolts in locations (A), (B), and (C).

Install cover (6), seventeen flat washers (5), seventeen Iockwashers (4), and seventeen bolts

(3) on oil cooler housing (7). Torque bolts to 13-17 Ib-ft (18-23 N-m).

Torque nuts (2) to 50-60 Ib-ft (68-82 N-m). Bend short tangs on key washers (1) against nuts.
