To install shelter support provisions on truck bed refer to TM 9-2320-280.
Lower truck tailgate and place in loading position.
Connect sling assembly to shelter lifting brackets on
shelter and lifting device.

Remove and retain a bolt and nut attaching each towing eye to towing bracket
and remove towing eye.
Position each mounting bracket in place on towing bracket and secure with
capscrew, lock washer, and flat washer, as shown in Figure 3-4. Do not tighten
capscrew until shelter is installed.
Position shelter over support and gradually lower shelter onto support in truck.
NOTE
Shelter should be tightly fitted to front of support. Shims should
only be added to rear shelter mounts.
Position shelter to support front mounting points. Secure shelter to front of
support with four bolts, lock washers, washers, and two reinforcements. Tighten
capscrews to 60 ft-lb (81 n-m). Tighten bolts to 90 ft-lb (122 n-m).
Secure rear of shelter (Figure 3-4) to support with four bolts, lock washers,
washers, and two reinforcements. Do not tighten capscrews.
Add shims as necessary to rear shelter mounts to ensure snug fit between
mounting brackets and support. Tighten capscrews to 60 R-lb (81 n-m). Tight-
en bolts to 90 ft-lb (122 n-m).
Disconnect sling from shelter.
Raise and secure tailgate.

Site requirements will depend on the requirements of the equip-
ment contained in the shelter. Refer to the end item technical manual for siting instructions.

Troubleshooting.
This section contains troubleshooting information for malfunctions
which may develop in the shelter. Fault isolation is limited to those components which may
be repaired or replaced at the unit or direct support level. Table 3-1 lists the common mal-
unctions you may encounter during operation or maintenance of the shelter, Each malfunc-
tion is followed by a list of tests or inspections and corrective actions. These tests or inspec-
tions and corrective actions should be performed in the order listed. This manual cannot list
all malfunctions that may occur.
