Procedures

NOTE

The following inspections should be performed with the M15

quadrant mounted on cross-leveling fixture

. Refer to final

inspection (ref. para 5.1-24) for setup and mounting procedures.

Check that all parts are in proper positions and securely attached.

Check that mounting surface is properly alined and free of burrs and

corrosion.

Apply 24 volts DC to quadrant housing connector receptacle. Check

that LEDs illuminate counters and level vials sufficiently to enable

easy reading in a darkened area when toggle switch is moved to

correct position.

Check that torque required to turn elevation knob in either

direction does not exceed 8 pound-inches (0.904 N-m) at any

point between stops.
