m. ELEVATION KNOB TORQUE INSPECTION

1 Using torque adapter (8213928) (Item 1, appx F)

and torque wrench, check that elevation knob (1)

running torque is 0.5 to 2.5 pound-inches (0.08 to

0.28 N-m).

2 If torque requirement is not met in step 1, repair

elevation mechanism (ref. para 5-17).

n. RESET COUNTER KNOB TORQUE INSPECTION

1 Using torque adapter (8599920) (Item 7, appx F)

and torque wrench on reset counter knob (1), push

in on reset knob and check that running torque is

no more than 2.5 pound-inches (0.28 N-m).

2 If torque requirement is not met in step 1, check

gearing and rotation for smooth movement.
