HOOD CROSSMEMBER BRACKET CLEANING AND INSPECTION
1.
Wipe trunnion bushings (Figure 5, Item 10) of trunnion brackets (Figure 5, Items 2 and 6) with clean rag.
2.
Inspect trunnion bushings (Figure 5, Item 10) for cracks, breaks, and chips. If cracked, broken, or chipped,
replace bushings (Figure 5, Item 10).
NOTE
Perform Steps (3) and (4) if trunnion bushings are damaged.
3.
Using steel drift and hammer, drive trunnion bushings (Figure 5, Item 10) from trunnion bracket
(Figure
5,
Item
6). Discard bushings.
4.
Using steel drift and hammer, install trunnion bushings (Figure 5, Item 10) in trunnion bracket
(Figure
5,
Item
6).
