Remove spider, spider pinions, side gears, and thrust washers (fig.10-17).

If ring gear is to be replaced for any reason, remove capscrews, nuts, and washers, then
separate gear from case.

If necessary to replace differential bearings, remove with a suitable puller.

Remove Pinion and Cage Assembly.

Hold the yoke with suitable tool and remove pinion shaft nut and washer.

Remove yoke with a suitable puller.

Remove the pinion cage capscrews and washers.
