Note .

It is possible to have timing marks on

both splined coupler and diaphragm couple r

alined with mark on injection pump and no t

have the marked gear tooth visible in timin g

hole. Make sure marked tooth (fig. 4-66) i s

visible when timing marks are alined. If th e

marked tooth is not visible, rotate the couple r

360 degrees, in either direction. Aline the timing

marks and the marked tooth will be visible .

Install timing plug .
