4-12. ENGINE FRONT PLATE ASSEMBLY.

a. Cleaning. There are no special cleaning procedures needed. Refer to

cleaning procedures given in para 4-3.

Inspection and Repair.

FRAME 1

1.

Check that two studs (1) in rear of plate (2) are not stripped or damaged in

any other way.

If studs are damaged, get new ones.

2.

Check that plate (2) is not cracked, bent or damaged in any other way. If

plate is damaged, get a new plate.

3.

Check that plate (2) has no small nicks, scratches or burrs. Repair small

nicks, scratches or burrs with crocus cloth.

If more repair is needed, get

a new part.
