(2) Cleaning.
There are no special cleaning procedures needed. Refer to
cleaning procedures given in para 4-3.
(3) Inspection and repair.
NOTE
For engines LD-465-1, LD-465-1C, LDT-465-1C,
LDS-465-1, and LDS-465-1A, go to frame 1. For
engine LDS-465-2, go to frame 2.

Dry cleaning solvent is flammable. Do not use near an
open flame.
Keep a fire extinguisher nearby when sol-
vent is used.
Use only in well-ventilated places.
Failure to do this may result in injury to personnel and
damage to equipment.
Check that pulley flange (1) and pulley half (2) has no cracks, nicks, wear
and other damage.
Fix minor damage to belt surfaces of pulley flange and
pulley half with fine mill file or crocus cloth dipped in dry cleaning solvent.
Check that clamping sections (3) of pulley flange (1) have no breaks and
bends.
Check that threaded holes in clamping section (3) are not damaged. Fix
damaged threads with a tap.
Check that two screws (4) have no damaged threads. Fix minor thread damage
with a file thread restorer.
Check that threads on pulley half (2) are not damaged. Fix damaged threads
with a file thread restorer.
Check that keyway inside pulley half (2) has no damage or wear.
If pulley flange (1) or pulley half (2) are damaged beyond repair, throw them
away and get new ones.
