7 Make sure pressure regulator valve (8) is closed

(fully counterclockwise). Then slowly open pres-

sure regulator valve (8) until 1 psi (0.07 Kg/cm

2

registers on low pressure gage (9).

Charge M42 periscope for 10 seconds.

b. Turn pressure regulator valve (8) to off.

8 Apply a soap solution to all sealed joints and

screws. Observe low pressure gage and M42 peri-

scope for 5 minutes. If pressure drops or if bubbles

appear, repair as necessary (ref. para 6-10).

9 Remove hose assembly (6).

10 Install air valve cap (2).
