REPAIR/REPLACE VEHICLE MOTION SENSOR ASSEMBLY (MFCS)

CAUTION

To prevent damage to equipment, ensure power is removed from system before vehicle motion

sensor (VMS) is removed.

2.

Disconnect power/data cable 3W1 (6) from J1 connector (7) on vehicle motion sensor (VMS) (8).

3.

Disconnect mechanical odometer cable (10) from connector (9).

4.

Remove four self-locking nuts (12), flat washers (11), socket head capscrews (4), flat washers (5), and VMS (8) from

vehicle. Have helper assist. Discard self-locking nuts.

5.

If damaged, disconnect mechanical odometer cable (10) and remove from odometer coupler (14).

6.

If damaged, remove coupler (14) from odometer cable (13).

REPAIR

1.

Replace defective parts as authorized by TM 9-1220-248-23&P and TM 9-2350-277-24P.
