REPAIR/REPLACE MORTAR FIRE CONTROL SYSTEM CABLES (MFCS)

NOTE

Steps 1 - 7 apply to cable 3W6, power connection cable to vehicle batteries.

1.

Remove battery terminals from battery posts before removal of cable 3W6 (6).

2.

Remove nut (3) and terminal lug (2) of cable 3W6 (6) from negative terminal of battery (4).

3.

Remove nut (9) and terminal lug (1) of cable 3W6 (6) from positive terminal of battery (8).

4.

Install battery terminals on battery posts.

5.

Carefully pull cable 3W6 (6) through hole in side of battery box (7). Remove rubber grommet (5).

6.

Follow route of cable 3W6 (6) along radio rack. Remove tie straps from cable.

7.

Disconnect cable 3W6 (6) from J4 connector (10) on power distribution assembly (PDA) (11). Remove cable from

vehicle.
