NOTE
•
Because some howitzers have 3 rather than 5 contact arm assemblies, some variations in
maintenance procedures are required. Howitzers with 3 contact arm assemblies have these
differences when compared to howitzers with 5 contact arm assemblies:
•
3 contact arm assembly howitzers have 2 ring segments instead of one.
•
3 contact arm assembly howitzers have covers for the ring segments.
•
Ring segments on 3 contact arm assembly howitzers have more fasteners than ring segments
on 5 contact arm assembly howitzers.
