Assembly.
FRAME 1
CAUTION
Upper spring (1) is longer than lower spring (2) on both
models of regulator (3).
Be careful not to mix them up or
regulator will not work properly.
NOTE
Two types of oil pressure regulator (3) have been used
on these engines.
Assembly procedure is the same for
both except as noted.
Upper plug (4) and lower plug (5) are the same size
on early model regulator (3).
1.
Put in two plungers (6), upper spring (1), lower spring (2), two gaskets (7),
upper plug (4), and lower plug (5).
2.
On early model regulators (3), put in pipe plug (8).
3.
On late model regulators (3), put in pipe plug (9).
