INSTALLATION
NOTE
If studs were removed, perform Step (1).
1.
Install stud (Figure 5, Item 4) in hub (Figure 5, Item 5) until base of stud is seated against back edge of hub.

Apply light film of grease on inside of hub (Figure 5, Item 5) and on two bearing cups (Figure 5, Item 6) and
(Figure 5, Item 3).
3.
Install two bearing cups (Figure 5, Item 6) and (Figure 5, Item 3) in hub (Figure 5, Item 5).
WARNING
Use of excessive amount of grease when lubricating wheel bearings may result in grease
contacting brake linings and cause brake failure. Failure to comply may result in injury or
death to personnel.
4.
Pack area of hub (Figure 5, Item 5) between two bearing cups (Figure 5, Item 6) and (Figure 5, Item 3) with
grease up to smallest diameter of bearing cups.
NOTE
Perform Steps (5) and (6) for hub mounted seals.
5.
Pack inner bearing (Figure 5, Item 2) with grease and install in hub (Figure 5, Item 5).
NOTE
The wider edge of seal goes on hub first.
6.
Install seal (Figure 5, Item 1) in hub (Figure 5, Item 5).
