Spring (Axle No. 1) Removal.

Remove two cotter pins (Figure 1, Item 2), castle nuts (Figure 1, Item 3), washers (Figure 1, Item 4), and spring

pins (Figure 1, Item 5) from both ends of spring assembly. Discard cotter pins.

3.

With the aid of an assistant, lower spring (Figure 1, Item 1).

4.

Remove lifting device from spring (Figure 1, Item 1).

NOTE

Perform Step (5) if grease fittings are damaged.

Remove grease fittings (Figure 1, Item 6) from spring pins (Figure 1, Item 5). Discard grease fittings.

6.

Remove cotter pin (Figure 2, Item 3), castle nut (Figure 2, Item 4), washer (Figure 2, Item 2), pin (Figure 2,

Item 8), and spring hanger (Figure 2, Item 5) from bracket (Figure 2, Item 1). Discard cotter pin.
