1. Shut down main engine (WP 0017).
WARNING
Wheel and suspension components may be
hot after operation. Do not touch hot
surfaces with bare hands. Failure to comply
may result in personnel injury.
NOTE
•
Splattered grease indicates
defective seal.
•
An overheated hub indicates
maladjustments or inadequate
lubrication of bearings. If shock
absorber is defective, shock
absorber will be colder than other
shock absorbers.
2. When time permits during halts or immediately after
vehicle operation, feel these components (Figure 7)
cautiously for noticeable variation in temperature
between like components.
