Steps 7 - 28 apply to cable 3W5, power/data cable for pointing device (PD) and gunner’s

display (GD).

If installed, lift and secure two gunner’s side turntable access covers. Refer to TM 9-1015-232-23&P.

If missing, install two turntable stops. Refer to TM 9-1015-232-23&P.

If installed, remove bilge pump floor plate (WP 0543 00) and fuel valve panel (WP 0197 00).

WARNING

Metal chips and grinding dust can cause eye injury. Wear goggles and gloves.

NOTE

If cable 3W5 is being installed in vehicle for the first time, proceed with Step 10. Also notify

direct support maintenance for preparation of turntable wall. If cable is being installed in

previously-modified vehicle, go to Step 16.

10. Near rear of center beam of turntable, locate the “I” beam support pin. Measure 3.75 in. (9.5 cm) back and 2.0 in. (5.1

cm) from bottom of support beam. Mark location and drill a 0.159 in. (0.4 cm) through hole (56). Thread hole with

10-32 tap.
