Inspection and Repair.
FRAME 1
1.
Check that six rocker arms (1) are not cracked. If any rocker arm is cracked,
get a new one.
WARNING
Dry cleaning solvent is flammable. Do not use near an
open flame. Keep a fire extinguisher nearby when sol-
vent is used.
Use only in well-ventilated places. Failure
to do this may result in injury to personnel and damage
to equipment.
2.
Check that six rocker arms (1) have no nicks, scratches or burrs. Fix small
nicks, scratches or burrs with a fine mill file or crocus cloth dipped in dry
cleaning solvent.
If more repair is needed, get a new rocker arm.
3.
Check that six bushings (2) are not loose, scored or damaged. If any bushing
is loose, scored or damaged, get a new rocker arm.
CAUTION
It is easy to damage the equipment if you do not know
what you are doing.
Do not try to do this task unless
you are experienced at it, or you have an experienced
person with you.
4.
Check that six valve contact pads (3) are not worn or damaged. If any pad is
worn or damaged, get a new rocker arm (1).
5.
Check that six valve adjusting screws (4) and nuts (5) are not worn or
damaged.
Check that screws do not bind in rocker arms (1). If any screw
or nut is worn or damaged, get a new one.
