NOTE
Four different crankshafts can be used in these engines.
The diameters of main bearing journals and connecting
rod journals are where they are different. The four
crankshafts are early model standard size, late model
standard
size,
0.0100-inch
undersize,
and
0.0200-inch
undersize.
1.
Look at flywheel mounting face (1) of crankshaft (2). If no number is stamped
here, this is a standard size crankshaft. Note this for future use.
2.
Look at flywheel mounting face (1) of crankshaft (2). If the number 0.010
or 0.0100 is stamped here, this is a 0.0100-inch undersize crankshaft. Note
this for future use.
3.
Look at flywheel mounting face (1) of crankshaft (2). If the number 0.020
or 0.0200 is stamped here, this is a 0.0200-inch undersize crankshaft. Note
this for future use.
