NOTE
Seven main bearing caps (1) are line bored with crank-
case (2).
If any main bearing cap is damaged, crank-
case and all main bearing caps must be thrown away.
Main bearing bores are called by numbers one to seven
counting from front to rear of crankcase (2).

Using dial indicator, measure inside diameter of number three bearing bore
(3). Inside diameter must be 3.9370 to 3.9380 inches.

If inside diameter of number

New crankcase (2) will

(2) and get a new one.
NOTE

If diameter of number three main bearing bore (3) is 3.9370 to 3.9380 inches,
take out two bolts and washers (4) and take off number three main bearing
cap (1).
