NOTE
Main bearing caps (1) and bearing saddles (2) are called
by numbers one to seven counting from front to rear of
crankcase (3).
Number four main bearing cap (1) is called main thrust
bearing cap.
It is wider than other main bearing caps.
Number four bearing saddle (2) is also wider than other
bearing saddles.
thrust bearing cap (1) on number four bearing saddle (2). Mounting
holes in main thrust bearing cap must line up with screw holes in number four
earing saddle.
Coat two bolts (4) and washers (5) lightly with engine lubricating oil. Put
in and hand tighten two bolts.
Using torque wrench, tighten two bolts (4) to 85 to 90 pound-feet.
Using torque wrench, tighten two bolts (4) to 115 to 120 pound-feet.
