NOTE
Cylinder sleeves (1) are usually thrown away, but
cylinder sleeves that are almost new may be used
again. Mark cylinder sleeves to be used again so
that they will be put back in the same position in
the same crankcase (2) cylinder bore.

Check if hone pattern can be seen in ring travel area in each of six cylinder
sleeves (1) as shown. If hone pattern can be seen and there is no groove
worn at top of ring travel area, mark cylinder sleeve and crankcase (2) with
scribe mark (3) as shown. If hone pattern cannot be seen, or if a groove is
worn at top of ring travel area, mark cylinder sleeve to be thrown away.

Using stud remover, take out all crankcase to cylinder head studs (4).
