CAUTION
It is easy to damage the equipment if you do not know
what you are doing.
Do not try to do this task unless
you are experienced at it or you have an experienced
person with you.
FRAME 1
NOTE
Main bearing caps (1) and thrust main bearing cap (2)
are line bored with crankcase (3).
If main bearing cap
or thrust bearing cap is cracked, the whole crankcase
assembly and all bearing caps must be thrown away.

Inspect crankcase assembly (3), six main bearing caps (1), and thrust main
bearing cap (2).
Refer to para 4-4.

Repair minor damage to crankcase assembly (3), six main bearing caps (1), and
main thrust bearing cap (2). Refer to para 4-5.
