SHIFT LINKAGE ADJUSTMENT (Sheet 16 of 20)

118. Using two 9/16 inch wrenches, loosen jamnut (BM).

119. Using 9/16 inch wrench, turn rod bearing end (BH)

clockwise until rod (BJ) is past hole (BL).

120. Using two 9/16 inch wrenches, tighten jamnut (BM).

121. Using 9/16 inch wrench, adjust stud and rod end bearing assembly by turning rod bearing end (BG) clockwise or

counterclockwise until distance between centers of rod bearing ends (BG) and (BH) measures 5-3/4 inches.

122. Using two 9/16 inch wrenches, tighten jamnut (BF).

125. Using hands, install two shift linkage control cover

plates (AR).

126. Using 7/16 inch wrench, install five screws and ten

washers (AQ).

123. Using hands, install stud and rod bearing assembly

(BE).

124. Using 9/16 inch wrench, install two screws (BD).
